The Olympia Neighborhood Association is hiring lifeguards for the 2026 pool season. ONA lifeguards must be Red Cross Certified and at least 15 years old. If you are interested in learning more about lifeguard certification, please visit www.redcross.org . In addition to the Red Cross website, UTSA, Northside ISD, the Jewish Community Center, and Das Rec in New Braunfels are good places to find local lifeguard training sessions.
Why join the ONA lifeguard team?
-It's close to home. Many of our lifeguards live in Olympia and the surrounding neighborhoods and cities. Why waste money on gas when you can work close by?
-Hourly wages being at $14 and increase with experience. In addition to hourly wages, ONA lifeguards have the opportunity to work private parties and any guard with WSI (Water Safety Instructor) certification also has the opportunity to use the Olympia pool to teach swim lessons.
-Flexible hours. We build our schedules with your schedule in mind. Lifeguards average between 15 and 25 hours a week but this is flexible depending on the availability of each guard. The Olympia pool is open from 1 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and from 1 pm to 10 pm on Tuesday and Thursdays. It is closed on Mondays.
-Family friendly atmosphere. As a private neighborhood pool, you will get to know the families that come to the pool throughout the summer.
